Story
Words from Melisa: On May 14th at 3 am. I woke with severe pain in my upper back, chest, arms and jaw. My husband took me to the emergency room. Where they said I was having a Stemmi Heart attack. At that point they took me to NHI via ambulance. Where I had an emergency stent put in. And they discovered my LED artery was also clogged and was unable to do anything more due to the heart was at 30-35%. They decided then that I would need coronary bypass surgery, open heart. So on 6-24-24 a LIMA LAD procedure, was completed which is a coronary artery bypass surgery that uses the left internal mammary artery (LIMA) to bypass a blockage in the left anterior descending (LAD) artery artery bypass complete.
