Story
Surgery can be traumatic. And not being able to take care of one’s self and household can feel very overwhelming. It takes a village of people to help address the needs of one recovering from surgery. Which is why I am reaching out for prayer and support. My mom, Debbie is having hip surgery on Oahu this Friday. Between work and tending to our own immediate families, our ohana will take shifts to help my mom as much as we are able to post-op, but if anyone is willing to provide additional support, we would be so grateful. Meals are great but what she really needs is care-giving support the week following her surgery, as my dad (Benny) will be back to work. Support could be given in any number of ways including: -Simply being present. Stoping-in to pray for her and offer any help (watering her plants). (1330 W. Kuiaha Rd). -Transportation to and from post-operative follow-up appointments. -Prescription pickup, grocery shopping, and other errands. -Medication reminders. -Meal planning and preparation -Dog walking If you have any questions please email me directly at [email protected] Mahalo church!
