Dear Friends, Arnaud and I are going to be away for one full month (from June 10th – July 10th) – the longest amount of time that my father (Fred) has stayed on his own in Eugene. Even though we’re very excited to teach and perform in France, my father is very used to having us around and sharing many things together. If you would be happy to spend some time with my father while we are away I’ve made this calendar where you can sign up. This way everyone can see when he already has stuff going on and that can help to spread out visits over the whole time. I’m hoping he can see people at least every two days or so. Some of the things he’d be happy to do: a shared meal (at home, restaurant, take-out), go to a movie, a concert (Oregon Bach Festival will be starting), he’d be very happy to go to a local baseball game too if anyone wants to take him, a shared movie at home, a walk, invite him to any events you have going on or gatherings, etc. Please check in with him via text/email to confirm (since he may have things going on that aren’t on the calendar) and then signup when you’ve decided on something. No pressure at all if you don’t have the time or it’s not right for you, but I am really grateful for your help and presence with him while we are away – it means the world to us! Beyond doing activities with him, if you can let us know separately too if any of you would be willing to be a contact for any of the following and I will put you on a list with your number: – give him a ride to an appointment, the store, etc – any emergencies – help with anything that goes wrong with the house – any computer/phone problems that come up Thank you so much for being a part of our lives and for considering!
