Story
On May 24th, a routine mammogram revealed a “suspicious lump” found up against the chest wall of mom’s right breast. A biopsy confirmed a diagnosis of breast cancer. Additional tests and procedures indicated that the cancer is spreading throughout the right breast and now into her lymph nodes. Her surgeon pointed out while comparing her last mammogram to current, that it was unfortunately starting to grow over a year ago but overlooked. Although it is spreading; the cancer appears to be slow-growing, according to her team. God’s hand has orchestrated every step in this journey to healing. There is no doubt that God is with her, in each and every consultation, equipping, guiding and protecting her and our family. We want to recognize OhioHealth and their ability to demonstrate empathy, compassion, and strong communication skills. Specifically, Breast Cancer Surgeon and Breast Cancer Survivor, Dr. Deepa Halaharvi. Her strong faith, belief in prayer and confidence is a reassuring reminder that God is in control! Her Radical Mastectomy and removal of lymph nodes is scheduled for Monday, June 17th. Continued testing will take place prior to the operation. Further treatment will be discussed after surgery. On behalf of our family, we want to thank all of you for being there for us. No one should face breast cancer alone. Your continued faithful prayers are making a difference. God Bless 💕 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27 KJV
