Samantha and Ryan welcomed their precious baby girl Violet Jane !! Little Miss Violet Jane weighing a healthy 7 lbs 11 ozs was having alittle difficulty regulating her breathing and wasn't wanting to move her little arms and legs like they'd like her too. They decided too keep her in the nursery for alittle extra monitoring for awhile. Dad went back and forth between his baby girl and Samantha who was recovering from a c-section. Throughout the day they ran tests on Violet to figure out what was going on with her. Everything came back good. But they were still concerned with here muscle weakness in her arms and legs. They decided it would be best for Violet to be transferred to Covenant Hospital in Saginaw where they were better equipped to run more tests and monitor Violet. Samantha was unable to go with Violet at the time of her transfer. Sam was discharged on July 24th, earlier then she should have but she went straight to her baby girl ! Violet has had x-rays, an ultrasound, lots of blood work and the doctors at Covenant have been consulting with a neurologist ruling out any neurological issues. They continue to run blood work to check for any muscular issues. Violet's breathing has stabilized and has begun bottle feds. Once she can get her bottle feds to a good amount and consistent feeding s she will be able to go home but we don't know how long that will be. Doctors have said that she will need follow-up care and consults with genetics testing, muscle weakness testing, possibly physical therapy and maybe more. Right now we don't know exactly what she will need. Everybody knows when you have children it takes a village sometimes !! And right now Sam and Ryan need their village ! Between Sam and Ryan's families and their church family they have a huge village !! We just need to bring this village together and give them all the love , support and prayers we can give them !! There traveling back and forth from Midland to Saginaw daily, sometimes several trip because Sam is still recovering from her c-section. Plus they have a 3 year old daughter at home and we're trying to keep her routine as much as possible. Let's bring this Village together for Sam, Ryan, Alex and our sweet little Violet !!!!
