Story
On July 1st Josh had a medical emergency that has left him hospitalized and very ill. Shira is living with Parkinson's Disease, the symptoms of which are exacerbated by stress. Living with Parkinson's makes good nutrition a high priority. Currently it is difficult for Shira to cook meals at home, so we are organizing a meal train to ensure she eats well and in concurrence with guidelines recommended for folks with Parkinson's.
Special Notes
Some ingredients to consider when preparing a meal: -Good fats, like avocado and fatty fish rich with Omeg-3 acids (Shira likes salmon and shrimp) -Fresh berries and fruit (washed) -Vegetables (steamed with _______ spices, salt is OK) -Whole grains (Shira likes ________) Small portions of re-heatable meals in easy to open containers (no vacuum sealed Tupperware or difficult pull tabs) are ideal. Jars and twist- tops should be pre-opened. Jonah likes ____________. NO NUTS OR SESAME SEEDS can enter the home. This includes ingredients like hummus and tahini.
