Welcome Baby Niemi ♥️

Arlington, WA

Story

We are all so excited to welcome Baby Niemi and to Support Fatma & Brian while they prepare to meet their new arrival and grow into the world of parenthood! As they adjust to life with their first baby, we’d love to support them by helping them get much needed rest and nourishment. Parenting a newborn is a beautiful but exhausting journey, and nourishing meals and help with chores can make all the difference during those first few weeks. Your kindness and generosity in providing support will give these new parents a few less things to worry about, and more time to focus on their little one. How You Can Help: Sign Up: Please choose a date that works for you to deliver a meal or stop by for some light cleaning tasks Meal Preferences: Freezer meals are top priority leading up the the birth. Baby is on their own schedule, so it’s important to have prepped freezer meals ready to go when they are needed. Once baby is born, fresh foods such as salads, baked goods, and other perishables will be so appreciated. Because Fatma will be breastfeeding, it’s important that she avoid: Spicy Foods, Chocolate, Peanuts, Cabbage, Broccoli, Peppermint, Sage, Parsley, Garlic and Fish. It’s best to leave these ingredients out of any prepared meals that you bring, if possible! If there is a recipe or food idea you are excited about, that contain some of these ingredients, it will still be helpful for Brian. Please make sure the foods you bring have all ingredients listed somewhere, incase Baby reacts to anything. Cleaning Preferences: Anything you feel like helping with! Fatma and Brian will be in a state of recovery, rest and reorientation for awhile after birth, so tasks like dishes, sweeping/vacuuming, surface cleaning and the like will be extremely helpful. Delivery: Please deliver meals at whatever time that works best for you, sometime between 11am-5pm. Drop-off and household help is preferred to be simple and quick to allow them to focus on their growing family and get as much rest as possible. Other Ideas: If cooking or cleaning isn’t your thing, consider sending a gift card to a favorite local restaurant, ordering a meal delivery or finding a wish list item to send their way! Thank you for supporting Fatma and Brian during this special time! Your love and care mean the world to them.
