Story
Our dear friend and colleague, Zora, has had an incredibly challenging summer, filled with unexpected turns and heavy burdens. She and her family—her husband, three energetic boys, and their sweet puppy—have been without a permanent home for the past three months. Due to unforeseen delays in their house move, they've been living out of suitcases, moving between the homes of generous friends while waiting for their new home to finally be ready. Amidst this upheaval, Zora faced another profound loss. Her mother, who had been battling cancer, moved to China in search of a promising treatment. Sadly, she passed away during this time. Despite the deep grief and loss, Zora has continued to show up each day with a smile and a positive attitude. Her strength, grace, and unwavering faith have been an inspiration to us all. To support Zora and her family during this time, we want to show our love by organizing a meal train. Our hope is to bring some comfort and ease to her days by providing home-cooked meals (could be delivered to the office at 503 W 13th St) or gift cards and any other forms of support that might lift her spirit. Zora has been a light to us, even in her most challenging times. Now it's our turn to be there for her. Let’s rally together and share the love and care she so generously gives to everyone around her. If you're able to help with a meal or any other gesture of kindness, please sign up for the meal train. Your support will mean the world to Zora and her family as they navigate these difficult days.
