Story
As you may know, my dad just had quintuple (5x) heart bypass in Morgantown and will be doing in-patient rehab in Huntington for 10-14 days. My sweet momma will be going between their home in SA, her full-time work in Charleston, and his rehab for visits while he’s there. Then when he’s released, she’ll also be his full-time caretaker. It may not seem like much, but the extra travel and long days will definitely add up quickly. If you know my momma, you know she’s the most selfless human alive, always putting her family first and always taking care of everyone else before herself. She gives and gives without complaint, but this time I know she needs help ❤️ and this is one small thing during this stressful period I’d love if many of us could band together and take off of her plate. This is a SECRET (for now)! Once we get it rollin’ I’ll share the page with her. If you have a sec, please leave some encouraging words for her to read at the bottom of the page 🥰 Contributions of ANY size are welcome and appreciated so much! I couldn’t find any gas cards, so if you’d like to contribute to gas cost, I would suggest a Visa gift card with a note. And please be praying for mom, dad’s recovery, and our whole family as we navigate through this. Thanks y’all 😘
Special Notes
Mom loves salads! Of all kinds. She usually steers clear of the typical fast food places, prefers low carb options if possible, and likes all proteins. She works in downtown Charleston, so Recovery, Adelphia’s, Pies & Pints, Graziano’s, or any of the other local options down there are pretty convenient and/or can be DoorDashed. She loves wings from the Cafe in SA! Medium, dipped, & grilled, with ranch & celery. She also loves prime rib night (Thursday) at the Cafe. She likes chicken fingers from Dwight’s, veggie or Hawaiian pizza bowls, pineapple shrimp tacos, fajitas (no rice), pork BBQ, cheesy potato soup, alllllll the veggies, and pretty much any kind of seafood. There’s also plenty of stuff she likes that just didn’t make the list 😂 feel free to be more creative. The only thing I can think of that she REALLY doesn’t like is rice. She also usually doesn’t care much for pasta dishes. No allergies If you prefer to make and drop off food, I’m sure she’d love to have your favorite signature dish! As long as there’s no rice in it 😂 The best way to do that is to probably coordinate it with her after she knows about the meal train. You can reach out to her via text or FB. If you want to DoorDash lunch directly to her during the week, it’ll have to be delivered to her office. Get in touch with me (Erin) and I can give you the address! ❤️❤️
