The pain started in Amy’s back, and then became unbearable in her right leg which was enough to send her to the hospital. That was the beginning of being diagnosed with HER2+ breast cancer at the end of June. July started with surgery on her right leg and her first chemo and radiation. Amy became weak due to side effects from the treatment and spent most of July in the hospital. She was able to go home on July 30th. Amy is working on getting stronger and will have five more rounds of chemo over the next few months. Let’s show our love and support to the Berner family.
