Story
At the beginning of May Candice, being a busy mom of two, decided to consult a virtual doctor for a persistent sinus headache that had become quite uncomfortable. During the visit the doctor prescribed an antibiotic but also ordered a CT scan in an abundance of caution. On May 9th, a very short time after getting the CAT scan, the virtual clinic doctor called and instructed Candice to go to the local emergency room immediately. She was then transported to University Hospitals in Cleveland where she spent two nights undergoing additional testing and imagery. The results showed that she has a brain tumor, which is estimated to be just over 1 ½ by 1 inch in size, and is located in the area behind her right eye. While the tumor is most likely a benign meningioma, we won’t know for sure until after Candice undergoes removal surgery on June 21st. Given the urgency and sensitive nature of this procedure, Candice’s husband Tony will need to be able to take some time off from work to care for Candice and their children. Tony and Candice are high school sweethearts who started dating in 8th grade. They went on to get married and have two children that they’re raising in Painesville Township. They are known in their community for hosting game nights that include all sorts of fun like DND, Warhammer, and crafting. As a family they stay quite busy being involved with their local Girl Scouts, and taking their son to TOPS soccer on Saturdays. Candice and Tony have always gone out of their way to help those in need around them, and now it’s our turn to support this wonderful family.
