Our sweet Ivey had a spontaneous pneumothorax (collapsed lung) and had surgery yesterday to remove the air and a portion of her lung. The surgery and everything went well. She will have a chest tube for a few days and stay in the hospital as long as she needs it. Hopefully she’ll be home to continue recovering by the end of the week. Right now they don’t know what caused it, sometimes these things just happen. Thank you everyone who’s texted, called, visited, and offered help. Ivey feels very loved! Let's continue to shower them with love and support with food to help them navigate the rest of the week.
