On Saturday, May 18, Briana's 14 year old son, Kayden made a suicide attempt. He is now medically stable and is receiving inpatient behavioral health treatment. They are doing everything they can to get him the help he needs. Right now, their focus is on their son and brother. They are constantly at the hospital while still trying to take care of their 17 year old as he finishes out the school year. Meals are one of the biggest thing they need. Home cooked, Door Dash or any food delivery service is welcomed. We have linked Briana's PayPal to this site if you prefer to give a monetary donation. They do have insurance, but are still left with literally tens of thousands in medical bills they must pay. Briana struggled with talking about this publically. She says she felt ashamed. Ashamed of what happened and that she was somehow responsible for it. But, she quickly realized that is part of the problem because no one wants to TALK about it. If Kayden had been in an accident or had cancer, then she wouldn't have thought twice about asking for help and prayers. But mental health is just as important as physical health. Her hope is that if she can do anything to help Kayden and others like him feel it's ok to talk about it and ask for help, then she will.
