Story

This is from Donna’s Facebook post on May 30th….. This will be a long post, but I promise it's worth the read. There's a specific prayer request at the end. My my my......... ain't God God! Let me tell you something, you WILL NOT convince me any other way. I don't care how they write it in his chart. They can chalk it up ever how they wish, BUT - MY God is still in the healing/miracle working business. Do you see the man in this picture? Take a good look at him. Look again. Really look at him. You are looking at a miracle! A living, breathing, walking MIRACLE! If you don't believe in the power of prayer, I don't know what to tell you. WE DO! Looking at him, you can not tell he's had a stroke. David started having some pain in his neck a few weeks ago. Saw the plant nurse and she sent him to get an ultrasound. Last Friday(5/24) she told him the ultrasound showed a 60-70% blockage. I don't know what all else he was told. I left to go out of town Saturday around lunch. All was fine. Talked to him Sunday and all seemed fine. Got home Sunday night and within a little while of being home, I noticed something wasn't right. Didn't know what, but I knew something was off. Same thing Monday. Got up Tuesday and called the vascular Dr to try and get him an appointment. Said he needed a referral. So I called the plant Dr. After she talked to him, she told us to pack a bag and head to the er. So we did. The Dr came in yesterday to talk to us. I wish y'all could have heard what he said. I recorded it, but I'm not gonna post it without David's permission. The Dr told David he was just sure after seeing the ct scan he wouldn't be able to move his right side. He told him he must have the wrong person. Said it was striking at how good he looked. Dr said wow, wow. I'm just amazed at how good you look. He said most people with this side/size stroke wouldn't be able to lift their right side extremities against gravity. Dr said, I can't believe how good you look. Wow it's just unbelievable. We find out he's gotta have surgery. We get moved to NCCU. So he has the surgery. Remember the ultrasound showed a 60-70% blockage. Oh no no no no. Dr told us it was 99% blocked. Reread that. So, David had a stroke and arteries on left side were 99% blocked. I belive in the power of prayer. When they told us he had a stroke, I started messaging people. You will not convince me any other way, but I know it was the prayers that were prayed that keep him here. The enemy tried to take him out, BUT GOD! We still have a few hurdles to jump over, and I'm asking for prayers again to help us get over them. Pray that his speech and thought process returns to normal and his blood pressure and heart rate would stabilize. BP and HR are beginning to look better, but I need them all the way better. I am beyond thankful and grateful to still have my husband here with me. God gets ALL the glory. I can not imagine me without him. Thank you for all the prayers that have been prayed for us, and a big shout out to everyone that has checked on us and offered to help in any way. Hold on, I just might take you up on those offers when we get home lol. Sorry if I haven't responded back yet. It's been a day. Love each of y'all.........

Special Notes

If you visit, please don’t feel offended if he doesn’t know who you are. He is having problems with his memory and thought process.
