This page was created to give support to the Barber Family during this tragic and difficult time. Owen Barber, 8 years old entered UVA PICU on April 3rd after being diagnosed with a very aggressive and rare T Cell ALL cancer. He suffered a stroke while in the hospital and went to be with the Lord on April 4th. He attended Ruckersville Elementary School and was having a birthday in a couple weeks. Owen was a member of the Cub Scouts, Former Mr. Greene, and did community service. He had just joined the soccer team and was only able to play one game.  His parents are Scott and Gwen Barber. To try and cope with this tragic and difficult loss, they will need time off work, meals to lessen some of the burden, and additional money to cover the medical and final expenses.
