6.14.2024 What was supposed to be an exciting appointment for our 20 week anatomy scan turned into probably the worst 24 hours we have ever been through. We were told our sweet baby girl no longer had a heartbeat! I was then told I would still have to deliver her. We went in about 9 last night and they started me on medicine to induce labor. Thankfully I was able to get some rest through the night and at 5:47 this morning, our precious second daughter was born. She weighed 0.123kg and was 16.5cm long. This kind of pain and heartbreak is something I never thought I would have to experience. We named our sweet angel Leia Grace Parker. Leia (lay-uh) means “child of heaven” and I felt like that was a perfect name for our angel baby!💜 We appreciate all the support, prayers, and thoughtful words. We are sorry if we can’t respond to everyone at this time, we are still processing and grieving. I also want to say a big thank you to our family that sat beside us whether for few hours or the whole time. And the hospital staff for going above and beyond for everything we needed. 💜
