Supporting the Larkins

Gansevoort, NY

Story

Let's help the Larkins get through an extraordinarily difficult time however we can. Nick's Leukemia has been stubborn, but we are holding out hope that something will work for treatment. In the meanwhile, there is a mountain that Sarah is trying to move between working, taking care of the two boys, managing the house, and keeping on top of life in general. Let's make that mountain a little lighter. There is a sign up for meals (a note on meal planning below!), however, cooking isn't everyone's thing. Still want to help? Consider gifting doordash for dinner when takeout is the best option for planning, instacart when Sarah needs something for the house but doesn't have time to run out, or check out any of the other options on the wishlist. There are also Visa cards available if you'd like to add some cash for things like gas and parking charges at the hospital (travel back and forth adds up, and yes, unfortunately the hospital charges for parking).

Special Notes

For anyone who has ever needed help with meals, we know that we tend to get overloaded with pasta dishes. No one receiving help ever wants to say anything about it, so we are going to try to make that part easy by asking folks to just take a look at what types of meals are already being provided, and try to balance the pasta intake a little bit! No allergies or food sensitivities to be aware of! Please note for drop off, that there is a choice of two locations: 1. 343 Pettis Rd, Gansevoort (Jon and Mags H.) 2. 64 Leonard St, Gansevoort (Ashley C.) Just make a note of which house you are dropping off at when you sign up (you can add to the personal notes section)! Depending on location, either Jon/Mags or Ashley will deliver to the Larkins. Why are we doing it this way? We are trying to maintain the privacy of the Larkins at this time, and deliveries can be overwhelming so we are also trying to minimize any additional stress.
