Remembering Jason Graunke

Woodridge, IL

Story

Born on May 30th, 1975 in Arlington Heights, Jason grew up in Wheeling with his siblings Jeff (Mary Fran), Jill, Jon (Jarmila), and his sister by marriage Sue (Jeff), and his mother Janet (Richard). Jason was fortunate to also grow up with a loving blended family with his father James (Alison) and sister by marriage Wendi (William). He graduated from Wheeling High School, and later earned his B.S. Chemistry from Northern Michigan University. Jason met his wife, Anne Petruczenko, in a coffee house in 2016, and they married in 2022. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and adventure, with their four boys, whom he adored more than anything in the world. Jason was passionate about his career at INX International, having the opportunity to have many roles from R & D chemist, to lab management, and as Group Project Manager. Jason was respected for his work ethic, innovative ideas, and the positive atmosphere he created. He loved his work family, having spent his entire professional career with them. Outside of work, he was known for his love of the Chicago Cubs, playing board games and swimming, a love he passed down to his children. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Anne Petruczenko; children, Henry Graunke, Ryker Stevenson, Roland Stevenson, Emmanuele Petruczenko; parents, James (Alison) Graunke, Janet (Richard) Slater; siblings, Jeff (Mary Fran) Graunke, Jill Bunzel, Wendi (William) Maniscalco, Susan (Jeff) Stanley, Jonathan (Jarmila) Graunke; many nephews and nieces; and a community of friends and relatives who felt his impact deeply. Friends and family will gather for a visitation to celebrate Jason's life on May 13th, 2024 from 4pm to 8pm at Blake Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Avenue, Lisle, IL 60532. A memorial service will be held May 14th, 2024 at 10am at Blake Lamb Funeral Home, where we will gather to share memories, and honor his legacy. Jason’s smile, laughter and loving presence will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. We take comfort in knowing that his spirit will live on through the countless lives he touched.
