Story
Cristina Scharrer is a loving wife, daughter, sister, a mother of three, a skilled Pharmacist, and an all around beautiful person. On 5/10/24, Cristina underwent an emergency Craniotomy to remove a brain tumor, which was later diagnosed as Glioblastoma. She has faced this news with a positive attitude, assuring her children that her spirit is filled with courage. As a two-time survivor of cancer, Cristina is well prepared for a fight. Her source of strength during this latest challenge has been her faith and her community. Cristina began her first round of treatment on 6/19, which will consist of oral chemotherapy and radiation for 6 weeks. We have started this page as a virtual gathering place for Cristina's community, and to centralize the communications of her story. This page will serve as a journal for Cristina to share updates with friends and family. In addition, this will be a place for people everywhere to share their support.
Special Notes
There are a number of ways to help Cristina, which will be detailed in the calendar below. One of Cristina's favorite things to do is to cook with friends and family. A number of timeslots have been listed over the next few months for those interested to sign up. The family has no need for assistance with rides at this time, though this may change later. More than anything else, prayers and words of support mean the world to Cristina. Please use this page as a location to share prayers, words of support, or a favorite memory of Cristina.
