Story
Today has been a whirl wind of emotions and I hope I can make sense in this post. Keep the prayers coming- they are working! Momma is awake (or was) I pray she is sleeping and getting some rest now. She woke up on her own (thank god!) Her blood pressure is stable right now due to medicine but as soon as she comes off the medicine- it goes extremely low. She is still septic. She is still on the vent but it’s at 50- she is not breathing on her own or over it- but that is what they want so her body can rest. She’s on high doses of pain medicine. Right now all we can do is play the waiting game and pray! She is still very sick! When ashlynn and I were back there tonight she was upset cause daddy had it on westerns on the tv and we were able to figure out she wanted food network on. She’s hungry and can’t eat so that might not have been the best channel for her at the moment. Please keep praying for healing! Please also keep my daddy in your prayers as during all of this- he is sick as well but will NOT leave her side. He hasn’t left that room since 6am this morning for anything. For those that don’t know what has happened: Momma has had some stomach and kidney issues for awhile but thought it was under control. Last week her and dad were both diagnosed with Covid. Saturday daddy seemed to be doing better but you could tell she was still struggling with Covid. Sunday she started having pain in her stomach and couldn’t breath very well. Dad took her to the ER and she was admitted. Sunday- Monday her heart rate was extremely high and her blood pressure kept going extremely low. Her kidneys weren’t working properly and she was on oxygen. Monday afternoon they realized she was going septic. After running tests Monday night they realized that the pain she was having Sunday was actually her intestine rupturing. Which then led to med fight and immediate surgery to prepare the intestines and remove as much of the “bad stuff” out. She declined after surgery and doctors were not hopeful for recovery. But by the grace of God, my momma is on the road to recovery! She has a long road ahead and isn’t out of the woods yet but we know she will fight this! I truly feel she is in good hands with her doctors and nurses! They have kept my mind at ease all day today! Thank you to everyone for all the texts, phone calls and prayers!! We’ve had so many reach and it has meant a lot to our family!!
