As many know and follow Danikas story, her scoliosis progressed very rapidly over the last year and it was either have surgery or do nothing, we decided to do surgery to give her a better chance at life and for it to not get any worse to wear it would affect her breathing and health. It was extremely bad 112* and it’s amazing how straight Dr Hahn of all children’s got her. His goal was to level out her shoulders again and to help prevent any further complications from her spine. Mom spends 12hrs a day at the hospital with Danika and Mima, mima stays over night so mom can be with her son at home. Danika will be in the hospital possibly till Monday and then there is a looong road to recovery… mom has to go back to work soon and we are hoping to get nursing in home to help a lot with Danikas care and transfers, but we don’t know yet. Meals would really help a lot if anyone could help, even sending to the house helps.
