Those who know me well know it wasn’t an easy childhood. I spent a good portion of my adulthood parenting and caring for him in multiple ways. And he is still my dad. I am so grateful to the staff Laurelhurst Village who spent the last four years caring for him. This past week this was my second home….holding space as my dad transitioned. Everyone was so kind and helpful and supportive. I kept saying how they are angels on Earth, caring for our aging loved ones. And to the rugby players who rallied around around and said their goodbyes….while also support to me.
