meals and love for Jakobs family

Woodstock, NY

Story

Dear friends,  Thank you for checking out our give in kind page! i have created this page as a way to make it easier for friends and family to help us in our transition to a family of four. Because we don't live in villages as our ancestors did, and we have no family that live locally, we are hopeful that this page will enable those of iy that want to help, to do so with ease.  The urge to jump back into normal life is strong at times, however my inner voice, and that of my postpartum doula mentors is strong. This time of healing and bonding with baby is special and so important. So i am asking for help. Asking for support. And graciously aware that many women do not and cannot do the same.      With abundant GRATITUDE, LOVE and LIGHT, on his due date in the light of a full moon, after a swift intense birth we welcomed our new son! An amazing birth team, including my wonderful husband who kept me steady in breathing our boy out, my own hands caught him as big brother looked on. Elisha Zev Jakobs, welcome to our family!! He is named after Eric’s grandmother Ethel, my great aunt Leona, my grandmother Lee, our dear relative Aliza, and my grandmother Zosia.
