Love for Clay and Roz

Clinton, TN

Story

Few know this because Clay is not one to ask for help.  One week ago, Clay had severe back and chest pain.  He drove himself to the emergency department on Monday. It was determined that he had a heart attack at the age of 44. He underwent cardiac catheterization in hope of placeing stents.  Unfortunately, his heart disease was so severe they determined cardiac bypass surgery was his best bet.  On Tuesday, he underwent open heart surgery and the bypassed 3 major vessels.  While hospitalized, it was discovered that Clay is severely diabetic. He was finally able to come home today. As many know, a few months ago Roslyn had a hip/ femur fracture. Roslyn has lupus and was kept on high dose steroids for years by her doctor with no monitoring of her bone health.  She underwent a hip replacement and was in a rehab facility for more than a month.  Yesterday, she stood up and her hip popped out of joint.  After falling to the ground in excruciating pain, her daughter was able to call for an ambulance.  Luckily, the ER doc was able to sedate her and place the hip back into socket.  She is very likely going to have another surgery in the near future. Clay and Roslyn could use our help.  Roslyn was laid off several months ago due to the pandemic. Clay will be out of work 6-8 weeks without pay. I want to ask people who love and care for them to band together to provide meals or restaurant gift cards to ease their burden.

Special Notes

Many people are struggling financially in this pandemic.  Clay and Roslyn would be so encouraged by any emails, cards or letters of encouragement.  Their kids, Connor and Olivia, have stepped up in a big way. They have spent nights at the hospital, picked up medicine, cleaned the house, grocery shopped.... I know they would be appreciate and be surprised by cards of encouragement
