My name is Whitney Leamon. I have made this page to help my parents with some meals. My Mom went into the hospital with severe stomach and back pain. She thought it was a kidney stone she said “I feel like I am in Labor”. The Drs ran a bunch of tests and she was admitted with a huge blockage in her colon. The next day they attempted a colonoscopy which failed. They couldn’t get the scope in due to the blockage being so big. They prepped her the next day to be opened up. When they opened her up the blockage had ligaments attached to it. Those ligaments were attached to blood vessels. They removed it. They also removed half of her colon. The Drs tested it. It was indeed what they thought, Cancer. He did get it removed but said it can and will come back. My mom is now out of work and my Dad is disabled. We are helping make sure they have what they need and we are making sure their bills are paid. We could really use some help keeping meals their way. I have 4 children at home and can’t always be there long enough to cook and prep meals. This will help take stress off of them and myself. My mom is the heart of our family. She’s the glue that holds us together. Everyone gets down and needs help sometime. We have applied her for emergency tenn care since she doesn’t have insurance the copays are pretty high.
