Supporting the Naporanos

Grove City, OH

Story

Our dear friend Julie Naporano had emergency surgery to repair a hole in her colon, on Saturday, August 17. The surgery was a success, thanks be to God, and she returned home from the hospital on Saturday, August 24. Julie is still quite weak and is prohibited from lifting anything. She will be working from home for the next couple of weeks. As you can imagine, the past week has been painful, stressful and exhausting for the family. Deacon Andy and Julie are truly thankful for your prayers and support. Many friends and St. Margaret parishioners have reached out to offer help. They welcome your support in any way--prayers, meals, texts, calls and visits. Please review the special notes section for ways to help.

Special Notes

Meals To help manage Deacon Andy’s Parkinson’s, he needs to eat three, high protein meals a day. Julie is currently not well enough to prepare meals for him. So, pre-made meals that can be heated are best. Julie is on a low-fiber diet until she is healed. She is currently eating grilled chicken and broth. She is allowed to eat low fat meat and poulty, cooked vegetables (without the skin like mashed potatoes), cooked fruit (without the skin like applesauce), white flour bread and peanut butter. Visits Please contact Julie or Deacon Andy before visiting to arrange a time. Keep in mind that Julie is quite tired and might not be well enough for a long visit; Deacon Andy always enjoys visitors. If you are sick or have been exposed to someone who is sick, please stay home. Gift Cards Deacon Andy is well versed in ordering from DoorDash. If you are unable to bring food over, please consider a gift card. Transportation Until Julie’s stitches are removed , Deacon Andy and Julie may need transportation to doctor’s appointments. We will update the calendar if a need arises.
