Loving Support for Isaac

Fort Worth, TX

Story

Isaac was born 1/13/20 and is in the NICU. This is their first baby and he has many health struggles. Isaac was born on 1/13/20 by emergency C-section. Upon arrival, he was taken immediately to the NICU. He is a very sick little fighter. In the womb, they had determined that he had SVT of his heart. It Was thoughT he would need a heart transplant at birth. The fluid on his heart went into his tummy and created ascites. But, this little warrior has blown our minds with the way his body is healing. He is on a medication controlling the SVT and over the time prior to birth, his heart began to heal itself and now is stable. He is continuing on the medication and will for several months. He has many other health issues going on in his body right now. Here is a list of things to pray healing over. Brain Bleed - It caused many strokes. There is damage in his tissue in multiple areas of the brain. Pray the tissue heals with no long term damage to his vision, motor functions and the area that causes seizure. Coombs Positive - Blood A and mom is O. Pray his body regulates and does not get a low blood count. Blood Clot - He has a "large and extensive" (Hematologist doctor words) clot in his Aorta artery. Extends from his belly button area into a wish bone shape down his legs. Pray the anti-coagulation meds are regulated and breaks down this blood clot but does not cause any issues to the clots in his brain. And, for no embolisms from it to happen. Jaundice - He has been under the photo therapy light to correct his levels. We are thankful that yesterday he was removed and levels are at 15 today which at 6 days old it is ok for them to be up to 20. Pray this healing continues. Tummy Fluid - He has a very small amount of fluid remaining but is naturally suppose to diminish over time. Pray it disappears with no lasting issues Feeding - He was not allowed to eat and was on IV fluids the first few days. Yesterday, he was able to begin breast feeding for the first time. Pray he continues to latch and for lactose production in mommy. Kyle and Jessica are needing financial help to get through this. He missed three days of work which was  a loss of $330 towards rent for Feb. Living at the hospital and making trips is expensive. I (Kyle's mom) is putting money on a Camelot Card for the food court which also accesses resources for hair cuts, starbucks and other hospital amenities. ***We found out on Friday when Kyle went to his first day back at work that the temp agency is no longer going to be used at his current job past the 20th. Please pray for him to find a new job quickly. Their apartment has mold and other issues with water damage that is not being fixed. They need to get an air purifier. If you can donate one or know someone who can, please let us know.
