Thank you for stopping by! Love for Lauri was created to support Lauri MacKay during her recovery from surgery, and to help update her friends and loved ones. As many of you know, Lauri has been on the transplant list since June 2019. Unfortunately, there has not been a heart match for her yet, and she has had to move forward with the LVAD (left ventricular assist device). This is a major open heart surgery, and the recovery process is lengthy and difficult. Lauri will be dependent on this device, and will have to carry around a battery pack moving forward. We are very hopeful that after recovery, she will be healthy enough to be put back on the transplant list. In the meantime, Lauri is trusting that the LVAD will improve her quality of life and allow her to do so many of the things she loves. She is ready to spend more time with her grandkids, enjoy her friends, and be more involved in her church again!   Please help us in supporting Lauri during her recovery!
