Friends, Our dear friend Laura is battling Stage 4 Triple Negative Metastatic Breast Cancer. In her case it has spread to her liver and lymph nodes. She was diagnosed a little over a year ago and has been aggressively treating her cancer since that day. She has a lot to fight for—Laura is a loving wife to Ryan and mother to 6 year old Taylor and 18 month old Carson. The most amazing and inspirational realization about Laura through all of this is her positive outlook. She has experienced many highs & lows along this journey and continues to be a fiercely strong fighter. With all the priorities  she needs to balance, Laura is still always thinking about others in her life and how she can give back. She refuses to let this cancer get in her way of living life to the fullest every day. Laura is a successful partner at the accounting firm Sikich, and most recently had to modify her hours and status to tend to her medical treatment. Even with all the support and resources available, there is a growing need to help supplement those resources. Medical bills are beginning to grow and we are asking for help to reduce the burden of these bills on Laura and her family.  With her diagnosis comes a  fight that  will be hard and long. What is most encouraging is her last update with a major reduction on the lesion on her liver.  The experimental trials are helping eliminate the cancer and we have to help fuel the fight!!
