*A holiday adopt-a-family in Sara Turner's honor - PLEASE INVITE OTHERS!* One of Sara's many talents was finding just the right thing to give someone to bring a smile to their face. This holiday season, we wanted to help make sure that Sara's legacy lives on and continues to bring smiles to children that need it the most. We have coordinated with the Children's Home Society on the Key Peninsula, right down the road from where Sara grew up, to adopt 2 families this holiday season in Sara's name. We will be making Christmas possible for a total of 7 children and 2 very deserving single mothers who otherwise might not have gifts under their tree or Christmas dinner on the table. Detailed wishlists are coming from the families and we will post exactly which items/sizes are needed very soon. Besides items for the kids, these families could very much use gift cards for groceries and gas, as well as non-perishable food items. We would love it if you would consider helping us fulfill these wishlists, in any capacity - whether toys or cans of food. The other thing Sara loved very much was having her friends all together. That's why we are inviting you all to share a holiday beverage, say hello to some friends, and drop off/wrap presents for the families we are adopting. We will be at Hank's on December 21st from 6:30p-9:30p. If you would like to participate but can't make it to Hank's, feel free to reach out to Laura (or anyone going!) and find out about drop off or pickup.
