Special Notes

Message From Christina ~ On Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at 12:55 am, my dad called out to Jesus. Jesus opened His loving arms and embraced my father, taking away all of his pain. The nurse who called states that dad passed away peacefully and was in no pain, that is one of the greatest comforts to know. My hockey buddy has gone to be with the angels. This good bye is not forever, for I know he will be waiting for us on the other side. I have been blessed with 21 years with the greatest father the Lord could possibly give me. We were with dad for most of the night, but he waited until we were home and fast asleep before he took his final breath. People may say that cancer beat my dad (which we found out was Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer), but I will gladly beg to differ. Dad was fighting on his own, before anything was detected, before there was any medical intervention. His body put up an amazing 6 month fight. By the time medical treatment came, his body was tired and began to shut down. So as far as I am concerned, my dad won. There is so much more I want to say, but I think I will leave it at that. Rest In Peace dad, and fly high with the angels ❤️ Christina VanWart
