Story
Hi CSCS families, As some of you may know, last week one of our wonderful 3rd grade girls, Rayne and her Mom, Perla faced the heartbreaking loss of their husband and father after his fight with cancer. Perla and their daughter, Rayne now more than ever, need to feel the love and support of the body of Christ surrounding them. As they begin to navigate this new and difficult season, we’re asking our school family to come alongside them in very practical and meaningful ways. Ways to Support: 💳 Gift Cards – for groceries, gas, dining, or general needs. (Purchased below, will go directly to Perla) 🙏 Prayers and Encouragement – lift them up, speak hope, and remind them they are not alone 📦 Support for Rayne – Here is the link to a small registry to provide a few physical items to help brighten her days and care for her. These will ship to my house and we will have her class give them to her next week. https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/28MLKU7T25TD3 This is a time to wrap them in our love, our prayers, and our tangible support. Let’s show Perla and Rayne that their Christian family is standing with them, carrying them in faith and compassion. As of right now, we are doing virtual gifts in the form of gift cards to not overwhelm Perla with visitors and calls and such. If she does decide that she would like these things, I will change the format of this to add a meal train option etc. I will be adding a sign up genius for some small physical gifts to give to Rayne to brighten her days and show support from her classmates. Please respect the family's grief and privacy at this time and lift them up to the Lord. Thank you for being a reflection of Christ's heart during this time. Callie Riesling “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Special Notes
Perla will be able to see this page, so please leave any messages of support for her and Rayne below. Thank you!
