A Village for Shari and Blakely

Congerville, IL

Story

As many of you know, Shari and Blakely are walking through an incredibly unexpected and heartbreaking season of life. After the sudden and tragic loss of her beloved husband, JT, Shari is now navigating life as a single mother to sweet Blakely while grieving the love of her life. This page was created to help organize and unite those of us who love Shari and Blakely — their village. Our hope is to surround them with care, comfort, and practical support during this difficult time, whether that looks like meals, small acts of kindness, or simply letting them know they are not alone. Thank you for being part of their village and for helping lift Shari and Blakely up in the days and months ahead.

Special Notes

Please no mushrooms and keep the sweets to a minimum. Freezer meals will make it easiest for Shari to use food as needed. Keep in mind portion size if you’re prepping a dinner so that Shari doesn’t end up with a huge pan for just herself. Pack into smaller containers with labels and cooking instructions attached. This should help stretch and not waste! If you would rather help in the form of a gift card to one of her favorite restaurants she loves local favorites like: Pickled Radish, Wendy Puff, Busy Corner, Mexican, Yatta Hibachi Washington, Keps, Ancho and Agave, Sushi, Micheal’s Italian Feast Eureka.
