It has been a long, exhausting, but exciting week! What started out as a scheduled C-section due to a breech positioned baby turned into an induction because Brooks had flipped at the last minute. We were all excited about this! The induction was a slow, long process though. Once labor actually started, it was very intense. Kira did amazing! Joe could not have been more supportive! As the labor process continued, Brooks heart beat decelerated with every contraction. It soon became very clear that a C-section was inevitable. We again shifted gears knowing that all that mattered was a healthy momma and baby. The C-section went as planned. Mom, dad, and baby all did great and are still doing great! Now the 411 details about Brooks. Brooks Joseph Cancelli was delivered on 4/21/23 at 4:11 am. He weighed 7 pound 15 ounces and measured 21 1/2 inches long. He is absolutely perfect! 💚💚💚 Recovering from a surgery plus having a newborn can be challenging, though.
