Supporting Charisse’s Cancer Journey

Portland, OR

Story

Hey y’all, we wanted to share that our sister Charisse has just been diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer — which, yes, absolutely sucks — but thankfully, it was caught early and is treatable. She’s scheduled for surgery September 25th, followed by 4-6 weeks of radiation therapy. As anyone who knows Charisse can guess, she’s approaching this with courage, faith, and a desire to beat this as soon as possible so she can get back to a mall. Charisse has always been the one holding everyone else together — the calm in the chaos, the helper, the encourager, the one who shows up with gifts, food, prayers, or just the right words. Now it’s our turn to show up for her, (she’d never admit it, but she can use the help). Because strong people deserve support too — especially when they’re about to go through a few rounds of radiation and healing. If you know Charisse, you know how deeply important her faith is. Prayer isn’t just a comfort — it’s a lifeline. We are holding tight to God’s promises and trusting in His timing, healing, and strength. Please join us in praying for her full recovery, smooth treatment, and as few hospital snacks as possible. We’ve created this page to take a few worries off Charisse’s plate, so that she can focus on healing, and taking care of herself. Whether it’s a donation, a prayer, a funny meme, or just sending good vibes — everything counts. Let’s remind her, in the most Charisse way possible, that she’s loved, she’s not alone, and cancer seriously messed with the wrong woman.

Special Notes

While we appreciate any and all gifts and support, please do not send flowers, as Charisse has a severe allergy to them.
