Welcome to John's Recovery Meal Train & Support Thank you for visiting John's Recovery Meal Train & Support page. On July 16, John was seriously injured in a propane tank explosion while cooking. He suffered first-, second-, and third-degree burns and is now recovering at home with around-the-clock care. While we are thankful he is home with his family, his recovery will be long and will require ongoing wound care, frequent medical appointments, regular dressing changes, and plenty of rest. As John recovers, Amy is focused on caring for him and their three daughters. We'd love to surround their family with practical support during this challenging time. This page has been created to help coordinate meals, restaurant and grocery gift cards, and other day-to-day needs. Since many of John's family and friends live outside the area, gift cards are a wonderful way to provide meals and flexibility as they navigate appointments, treatments, and the demands of recovery. If you would like to support the family financially during John's recovery, a GoFundMe has also been established to help with medical expenses, lost income, and other recovery-related expenses while John is unable to work. Whether you provide a meal, send a gift card, offer words of encouragement, or keep John, Amy, and their girls in your thoughts and prayers, every act of kindness is deeply appreciated. Thank you for loving and supporting this wonderful family during John's recovery.
