Jon was first diagnosed with MDS in December of 2023. Since then he has gone through 2 separate transplants with 2 different donors. Unfortunately both transplants were not successful as his body rejected them. He has been in the hospital for about 2 years now. More recently Jon has been positive for C Diff, BK Virus, Phenomena, fluid around his lungs and low oxygen levels. Last week he was sent downstairs from the 12th floor (being the transplant floor) to the 8th floor (being the MRICU floor). We went to visit him last Saturday where he was then thankfully brought back up to the 12th floor because his O2 levels were better and the extra water in his body had gone down. On Monday Charlene received a call from Jon and his doctor stating that unfortunately Jon has chosen the path to go into hospice and do the end of life process. Jon arrived back home on Tuesday where he has chosen to spend these last precious moments with his family. With everything going on physically and mentally for Jon he has still been his happy goofy self and not shown any negativity. He is staying positive and doing his best to make everything seem right back to normal with all his crazy jokes. His wife Charlene and children could use all the support, prayers, and love.❤️
