I’m reaching out because my family is going through one of the hardest seasons of our lives, and I’m asking for support as I work to rebuild a stable life for my two children. Right now, I’m battling homelessness and unemployment while trying to make sure my children have the love, safety, food, and stability they deserve. Being a mother is already a full-time responsibility, but facing these challenges without steady income or secure housing has made every day a fight to keep moving forward. I also carry the weight of having a felony on my record. I take responsibility for my past, but I’m working hard to make sure my past does not determine my future—or my children’s future. Finding employment with a record has been extremely difficult, especially in an economy where even people without barriers are struggling to find stable work. But I refuse to give up. I’m doing everything I can to change our circumstances, find employment, create income, secure permanent housing, and build something better for my children. I’m not asking for someone to fix my life—I’m asking for a helping hand while I work to get back on my feet. Any support, no matter how big or small, would mean more to my family than I can put into words. Donations can help with immediate necessities such as housing, food, transportation, clothing, and other essentials for my children while I continue searching for employment and working toward financial independence.
