Story
💖 Support Tanya During Her Breast Cancer Journey Our dear friend and colleague Tanya was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and will undergo surgery on Thursday, the 22nd. As she begins her recovery journey, she’ll be out for about six weeks. While this is a challenging time, Tanya is facing it with incredible strength and grace. This season is also especially full for her family, with her daughter’s upcoming graduation — a milestone made even more meaningful by Tanya’s presence and resilience. As many of you know, Tanya is a vital part of the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center Development Team, and her warmth, insight, and leadership will be deeply missed during her time away. 💕 How You Can Help Let’s rally around Tanya and her family with the same care and dedication she’s shown in her work and friendships. While her family tends to make their own meals, we know small gestures of support — thoughtful gifts, cards, encouragement, or even just checking in — can go a long way. Here are a few things to keep in mind: Tanya eats gluten-free and is allergic to beans. Her family are picky eaters and generally prefer to prepare their own meals. Notes of encouragement and acts of kindness are welcome and deeply appreciated! 📬 Send Your Support Whether it’s a card, a care package, a message, or a simple "thinking of you," now is the time to show up for Tanya the way she’s shown up for all of us. Let’s lift up Tanya and her family with love and strength as they move through this chapter. We can’t wait to welcome her back — stronger than ever.
