In 2019, Amanda was diagnosed with breast cancer. She believes she is in remission, but we are watching some spots that showed up a couple years ago. She still goes in for maintenance treatments, and needs help during the recovery. Her maintenance treatments are brutal, and trigger auto-immune responses. As of July 2024, more procedures are to come since new suspicious spots have showed up on scans, which require biopsy. Since June 2025, doctors believe these spots to be benign but must watch them closely. She will go back in for additional imaging in January 2026 and another round of treatment. We are going to include important race/meet/travel days too (she's a competitive athlete) that would help her and brighten her spirts. Amanda is isolated and does not have any local support from family, friends, or community. A little love goes a long way. Due to increase stress levels, she is experiencing multiple flares with her other health conditions so we are going to list every day as a support day until her condition improves.
