Taking care of Nancy during her breast cancer journey!

Leander, TX

Story

Our beautiful and amazing family member, friend, colleague and community member, Nancy Martinez-Guzman was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer, in August of 2025. As many of you may know (or now you know), Nancy raised six amazing children, solely, who have become close-knit and successful young adults - who value and love their Mom to no end. Nancy also has two grandsons who she cannot stop raving about, nor stop smiling, and laughing, at their photos and videos. Not only is Nancy a wonderful Mother and Grandmother, she is also a pillar in our community and she will always lend a hand, or make a phone call, to support causes that are close to her heart. As a social worker and a soon-to-be licensed therapist, Nancy is always caring for others and foreshadowing how she can continue to support those in need. To say the least, these last four months have been a whirlwind of emotions, doctor appointments, and lots of MRI and CAT scans for Nancy. After much thought and research, Nancy has decided that a double mastectomy is the best option for her, her children and grandchildren, and for those who call her family and friend. Nancy's surgery is scheduled for December 3, 2025 and will most likely spend a few days in the hospital after her surgery. So, let's wrap ourselves around Nancy and support her during her breast cancer journey with meals, supplies, caretaking, lots of love, prayers and healing energy.
