Huffman family

Endicott, NY

W
Story

Last night Shelby was admitted to the hospital because his ankle, which has been continuously infected since surgery, took a turn for the worse. After a very painful bedside procedure to drain the infection, his doctors determined that he needs emergency surgery today at 4:00 PM. During surgery, they will remove the hardware that his body has rejected and perform a bone biopsy. Our greatest prayer is that the infection has not spread to the bone and that he will be able to keep his foot. This has been an incredibly difficult journey. Shelby was already out of work for two months after his original surgery without workers’ compensation, and now it looks like he’ll be unable to work for at least another month. The financial burden and uncertainty have been overwhelming, and his family doesn’t know how they’re going to get through this. If you’re able to help by providing a meal, praying for Shelby, or simply keeping his family in your thoughts, it would mean more than words can express. They are trusting in God’s promises, knowing that He is faithful and that He works all things together for the good of those who love Him. They are holding tightly to that hope as they face the days ahead. Please pray for a successful surgery, complete healing, wisdom for his doctors, and strength and peace for Shelby and his family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, support, and prayers.

Special Notes

The Huffman family has always been the kind of family that shows up for others. They have never been the ones to ask for help, but they have always been there to lend a hand, offer support, and stand beside anyone who needed them. They have never judged, never turned their backs on people during difficult times, and have always given from their hearts without expecting anything in return. Now it’s our turn to give back to a family that has given so much to so many. As they face this difficult road ahead, let’s surround them with love, prayers, and support. Whether you can provide a meal, send a prayer, or simply let them know you’re thinking of them, every act of kindness will make a difference. Please join us in praying that Shelby’s surgery goes well, that the infection has not spread, that healing comes quickly, and that God wraps the entire Huffman family in His peace, strength, and comfort during this challenging time. There are no known food allergies or dietary restrictions. Thank you for helping us bless the Huffman family during a time when they need it most.
