The moment the Holden Family has eagerly been awaiting has arrived-John is about to receive a life-changing gift: a new kidney! For those who are familiar with John’s journey, you understand the trials he’s faced, but for those who are just joining, here is a glimpse into his story…. John was only born with one partially functioning kidney. It served him well until 2022, when it ceased to function all together. Since then, he’s had to rely on dialysis. While he’s managed very well under the circumstances, dialysis is a short-term solution to a long- term problem and it’s been physically, emotionally, and financially draining. Thanks to the selfless act of generous donors, John’s (and the Holden family) life will be forever changed! The Holdens have appreciated the incredible support individuals like you have given them and are beyond grateful for the contributions so many have given thus far. There are still some needs that they could use at this time. We’ll be updating this page with ways you can continue to support their family as John recuperates from surgery.
