December of 2023 I was in a car accident that was not our fault my fiance was driving we were making a left hand turn on a green light the cross traffic from the left hand side going east and west all the traffic had stopped in two of the three lanes. As we were approaching the turn the third lane of traffic out of the corner of my eye I saw a car speeding towards us it hit us spinning our car and doing an immense amount of damage that left our car totaled and unable to be driven or moved. We had to have it towed. We hired Lerner and Rowe attorneys and have been in litigation ever since then. Still holding out for a verdict in our favor but nothing yet. My grandson is autistic and has appts and therapy with school and specialists we've had to take the city bus to. I had injuries from the accident to my cervical spine that caused me to not be able to work. Then due to that we were evicted while I was waiting on disability. We were evicted and lived at a homeless shelter for 11 months and finally was able to get some help getting a place and getting out of the shelter. We were blessed to have gotten an apartment, and have shelter but do not have a vehicle. It was very hard during the winter months getting us back and forth to appts but now the heat is here and it is even harder to be out in the sun. Please help us get a vehicle. I'm on disability and pay my rent and bills but do not have the money for anything else. My fiance is a retired mechanic with no pension or social security but is also disabled. I just need help with a vehicle. It doesn't have to be new but it does have to have AC and run well. Please help anything would help. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. God bless.
