Helping Dena Recover from Right Total Hip Replacement

Kalamazoo, MI

Story

Okay, here we are finally! It's been a long road to get here and I do look forward to a successful recovery from a right total hip replacement, scheduled for Thursday, January 29th (oddly enough, my father's heavenly birthday). Welcome to my page and thank you for being here. Your presence shows your willingness to support me through my recovery and I am beyond blessed by each and everyone of you! Living alone often presents challenges that are difficult to overcome without assistance. The first 2 weeks are critical as far as what I need. Mostly what I need help with is taking care of my dogs and this part isn't going to be for everyone and I completely understand. My 2 dogs are awesome and love everybody, but they are big. My Milo in particular is basically a velociraptor in a Great Pyrenees 100+ lb puppy body. So this assignment is best suited for dog people. I need help feeding them, letting them out to do their business and get them back in. I would also need assistance with basic housekeeping and keeping my front porch clear of snow. The nurse was adamant that my snow shoveling days are over for the rest of the season! As far as a "meal train" goes, I have groceries here. I'm thinking it would be nice to have help with meals the first 2 weeks and hopefully I would be in a better place to cook for myself after that.

Special Notes

Just a couple of things here... 1. If you've signed up for a task and are under the weather, please stay home and take care of yourself first. Just let me know. 2. I have no food allergies and really no preferences...I have a well-informed palate. 😀
