Our beautiful daughter, Athenah, has been diagnosed with Primary Mediastinal B-Cell Lymphoma, a rare and aggressive form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma that developed in the area between her lungs. We were told that this cancer is extremely rare in children. Athenah’s diagnosis has already required extended hospital stays, procedures, a chest drainage tube, a PICC line, testing, medications, and around-the-clock care. As her parents, our main priority is remaining by her side and giving her all the love, comfort, and support she needs to get better. The treatment appointments and need for constant care have caused missed work and lost income while medical expenses and regular household bills continue to accumulate. Donations will help our family cover medical costs not paid by insurance, transportation, parking, meals during hospital stays, medications, childcare needs, unpaid household bills, and other essential expenses throughout Athenah’s treatment. Every donation, no matter the amount, will help relieve some of the financial pressure so we can focus our energy on Athenah’s healing while continuing to care for our other children.
