Zach and Amy Bienvenu welcomed their second daughter, Kate, earlier this month. They learned immediately after her birth that Kate was born with cystic neuroblastoma, which is very rare. Kate underwent surgery to remove the tumor at two and a half weeks old. Thankfully, doctors were able to remove 95% of the tumor. Zach and Amy feel good about the long-term outcome. They will be hearing from the Ochsner oncology team in the next few days about future treatment. Their hope is that baby Kate will not have to undergo chemotherapy. Zach and Amy are active parishioners in the St. Pius community and are parents to a 3 year-old daughter that they hope will attend SPX next year. Let us lift the Bienvenu family up in prayer at this time. Let us a pray for God's safe keeping and healing of baby Kate and comfort to her parents and family.
