A local family Blackburn family could use our community’s support right now. Their 10-year-old son was recently admitted to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) after a wound on his leg became infected. Thankfully, he has been discharged home, but his treatment is not over. He will need to return to CHOA every two days for dressing changes and continued care. This family was already stretched pretty thin financially, and the unexpected medical needs, frequent trips to CHOA, and additional meals away from home are creating an even greater burden. We are collecting gift cards and gas cards to help ease some of that stress while they focus on their son’s recovery.
