Welcoming Felix into our family has been one of the greatest joys of our lives. While we’re soaking up all the love, snuggles, and special moments that come with becoming parents, this postpartum season has also brought some unexpected challenges. Unfortunately, my recovery from childbirth has been much more complicated than we ever anticipated. I’ve experienced significant postpartum complications that have required two surgeries, and I’m currently facing the possibility of another one or two. While we’ve already been through a lot, we still have a long road ahead of us, both physically and emotionally. This season has been a difficult balance of embracing the joy of motherhood while navigating ongoing medical challenges, healing, and the everyday responsibilities of caring for our growing family. As someone who is usually more comfortable giving support than asking for it, putting this together feels incredibly vulnerable. But I’m learning that it’s okay to need help, and that sometimes it really does take a village. We’re hoping to take a few things off our plates so we can focus on healing, spending time with Felix, and navigating the next steps in my recovery. If you’re able to help with a homemade meal, takeout, or a gift card, we would be incredibly grateful. Please know there’s absolutely no pressure or expectation to contribute. Your love, encouragement, and friendship already mean so much to us. Thank you for being part of our village and supporting us through a season that’s been both incredibly beautiful and unexpectedly difficult. We’re hopeful for better days ahead and grateful for the kindness and support that will help us get there.
