Hi friends and family, it’s Destiny. My mom was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer in her left lung that has metastasized into her lymph nodes in her chest cavity on 3/4/26. She was seen at MD Anderson in Houston on 3/9-3/11. She has decided to do her treatments here since it’s easier on her & everyone to be home! But will go to MD Anderson in Houston for her scans and test! This cancer is very aggressive and they are taking aggressive measures to help her. She started chemo at MD Anderson 3/17. She is having chemo and radiation twice a day! She has a long road ahead of her but she’s a fighter! This page is where I will update everyone so please follow! Some of her best friends are organizing a benefit for her! I will put all that info here & Facebook! In the mean time medical bills and copays are adding up & medication and just everyday care. She is use to cooking everyday which now she can’t! She also was cooking for Mimi & Poppa as most of you know she had just finished taking poppa to his 6 weeks of radiation and then got this diagnosed the next week! She’s used to being in control of everything! And now she’s the one that needs help daily! It’s been tough on her! She’s the one always helping and stepping up for others so she’s struggling with letting others help her! She usually has her phone off but she sees all post, comments, messages, etc. so please do not get offended if you don’t hear from her immediately! 💜
Meals-no fish as she is allergic!
